Bihar Board Class 10 Maths Solutions Chapter 13 Ex 13.4

Ex 13.4 का मुख्य topic शंकु का छिन्नक (Frustum of Cone) है। इसमें frustum का volume, curved surface area, total surface area और practical applications पूछे गए हैं।

Important Formulas

• Frustum का आयतन = 1/3πh(R² + r² + Rr)
• Frustum का वक्र पृष्ठीय क्षेत्रफल = π(R + r)l
• Frustum का सम्पूर्ण पृष्ठ = π(R+r)l + πR² + πr²
• l = √(h² + (R-r)²)

प्रश्न 1. Frustum-shaped glass

ऊँचाई 14 cm तथा दोनों circular ends के diameters 4 cm और 2 cm हैं।

अतः R = 2 cm और r = 1 cm.

Frustum formula लगाने पर:

Capacity = 102 2/3 cm³.

प्रश्न 2. Frustum का curved surface area

Slant height 4 cm तथा दोनों circular ends की circumferences 18 cm और 6 cm हैं।

πR = 9 तथा πr = 3.

CSA = π(R+r)l

= 48 cm².

प्रश्न 3. Turkish Cap

R = 10 cm, r = 4 cm और l = 15 cm.

Curved surface + closed end area:

= 710 2/7 cm².

प्रश्न 4. Frustum-shaped vessel

h = 16 cm, R = 20 cm और r = 8 cm.

π = 3.14 लेने पर:

दूध की capacity लगभग 10.45 litre आती है।

दूध की लागत:

₹209.

Metal sheet की लागत:

₹156.75.

प्रश्न 5. Frustum को wire में बदलना

पहले original cone की radius, slant height तथा कटे हुए cone की dimensions निकाली जाती हैं। फिर frustum का volume निकालकर wire के cylindrical volume के बराबर किया जाता है।

Exam Tips

• R हमेशा बड़ी radius और r छोटी radius रखें।
• Frustum में slant height l को सही निकालना जरूरी है।
• Open vessel में केवल आवश्यक surfaces का area लें।
• Capacity को litre में बदलते समय 1000 cm³ = 1 litre का प्रयोग करें।
