Clauses – Introduction
Clause शब्दों का ऐसा group है जिसमें subject और finite verb होता है। Sentence में clause एक complete idea या sentence के किसी part का काम कर सकता है।
Types of Clauses
मुख्य रूप से clauses के तीन प्रकार होते हैं:
- Noun Clause
- Adjective Clause
- Adverb Clause
Noun Clause
जो clause sentence में noun का काम करता है, उसे Noun Clause कहते हैं।
- I know that he is honest.
- I do not know where he lives.
- Tell me what you want.
Adjective Clause
जो clause किसी noun या pronoun की विशेषता बताता है, उसे Adjective Clause कहते हैं।
- The boy who is standing there is my brother.
- This is the book which I bought yesterday.
- I met a man who helped me.
Adverb Clause
जो clause verb, adjective या adverb के बारे में additional information देता है, उसे Adverb Clause कहते हैं।
- I will go when he comes.
- He worked hard because he wanted to succeed.
- He is poor but he is honest.
